Book of Secrets is a collection of 40 improvisation templates.  Each template presents a starting point to explore a parameter of music (or sound) in an improvised setting using a group of related ideas.

This book was one of my big pandemic projects.  The idea came to me some time in 2019 and during the pandemic I had the time to make it happen.  

The templates range from simple exercises based in modes that any musician with basic reading skills can explore, to complex harmonic, rhythmic, and conceptual ideas for more advanced players.  The goal is to free your mind.

The book includes an introduction explaining the project's inspiration and goals, an appendix of blank templates so that you can compose your own, and an appendix of composition notes for each of the 40 templates.
